It's been great reliving Erin & Michael's beautiful wedding in Newport, RI. Belle Mer in Goat Island sitting on the edge of Narragansett Bay provided the perfect setting for an Oceanside nuptial officiated by Michael's uncle, Gerry Wilson. Gerry did a fantastic job uniting these two! He included personal anecdotes from his conversations with the couple that made for a very personal and intimate ceremony. One of my favorite parts was when he said, "one year from now, Facebook will remind us all of this special moment when all your photos posted today will be on your page as a memory". Definitely something we can all look forward to same time next year. For now, I have these images to enjoy and share from that special day...

Seated in the first row, I was able to capture some pictures of the processional, the exchange of vows and rings as well as the recessional. Love how the bridesmaids were wearing different gowns in shades of blush! It truly was a picture perfect day with clear skies, temperatures in the low 70's typical of New England weather this time of year and just enough breeze to create a lovely billowing silhouette from the bride's cathedral length veil. So romantic!!!

Being a spectator/guest who just happens to be a photographer, I was more than happy to oblige some requests for family portraits. I took photos of the Wilson family - Michael's aunt and uncle, MaryAnne, Gerry and their children as well as the Beatty family - Erin's brother Carl, his wife Corrine, and their daughters. Taking advantage of the gorgeous backdrop afforded by the Narragnasett Bay, I had some fun photographing couples, Julie & Ben, Jen & Ryan, Yola & James, Sandra & Enzo and Katie & Colin. Personally, I want to credit and thank James Thorp for taking lovely photos of Peter and I.

It's all in the details...

Finally, photos taken during "golden hour" - that period right before sunset when light is redder, softer and just makes everyone basking in its splendor look good (in my opinion).

Erin & Michael, best wishes on your new life as husband and wife, and may you create many happy memories together!
