I was very excited to do this shoot with Bobbi and Allan who were being celebrated by their children and grandchildren. When Carol, their daughter called to ask if I was available to photograph her parents on Sept. 25, my first response was "I'm sorry but I will be in Boston that weekend but I can recommend another photographer". When she explained that they were celebrating their father's 90th birthday and that their mother just celebrated her 89th birthday, I said "wait let me talk to my husband and see if we can change our flights because I would really love to do this". Fast forward to last Sunday - I was at the Woodmont Country Club in Rockville where I had 30 minutes before this family sat for dinner to celebrate Alan's 90th birthday, Bobbi's 89th, 68 years of marriage and simply the joy of coming together as a family!
