Woohoo!!! I finally get to blog about my first wedding in 2016! I first met with Heather and AJ to discuss the time line for their special day on Aug. 14 along with their very talented wedding planner Heather Hagin of Heather Hagin Events. The one thing that stuck in my mind after our discussion was Heather, the bride saying "I want a lot of pictures of me dancing"! I knew immediately that this was going to be a super fun celebration and that it was. I also had the pleasure of working with a good friend and very talented photographer, Emily Shepherd as my second shooter. Prior to this wedding, I've always worked solo and it was so hard bouncing back and forth between bride and groom trying to capture both parties getting ready, the procession etc. It was so great having Emily there with me and I will note which photos were taken by her. Enjoy these wedding pics and yes "dancing photos" included!

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue...

My favorite photos of the beautiful bride with her adorable daughter, Olivia

Love this photo of Olivia with the Bride's man (I also had a bride's man at my wedding)

The bride with her entourage

We could not have asked for a more perfect day in September considering there was a slight chance that hurricane Hermine might pass through the Baltimore area. Instead, we had blue skies and a most welcoming breeze.

Here comes the bride... I myself was choked up with emotion as I was capturing these photos

How cute is this flower girl and how handsome is the ring bearer

The Wedding Party

Reception details

Bride and Groom's first dance with each other and with the bride's father and the groom's sister, Marsha.

I especially love the photo of AJ and Marsha kissing the locket containing their mother's ashes. It was very touching of Heather to wear the locket during the ceremony and for her to pass it on for AJ to wear during his first dance with his sister.

Dancing photos as promised...here are some of my faves.
