"Of all the pleasures of marriage, friendship has got to be one of the best. Two hands, intertwined until the end of time...Doesn't get much better than that" ~ Fran Weaver
I had the opportunity to ask Jason's mom how he and Marianne met - it turns out they were friends first. They met at a wrestling tournament in 8th grade. Jason was sidelined with a broken arm so he could not compete while Marianne was the manager for the opposing school's wrestling team. There was an instant connection and they would spend hours talking on the phone and lived close enough to each other that as Marianne says "we sneaked after school and hung out with each other". Jason and his family then moved to North Carolina so they lost contact but would still connect from time to time. A long time went by - life happens - and Marianne hadn't heard from Jason so she tracked his parents the old fashion way, as Jason's mom, Janie puts it, by looking up their landline number and asked to have Jason call her. They have since been communicating on the phone as friends for a few years now until Jason came up from NC for Marianne's 32nd birthday last year. They started dating shortly after that with Jason leaving his job and moving to VA for Marianne and the rest is - as they say - history...

I was thrilled when Marianne asked me to just take a bunch of candid moments...these are my favorite kind of photos to take.
Love the little details
The little people that stole the show
A few of my favorites of Noah with Mom & Jason
Of course I took the opportunity to take portraits of Marianne & Jason - can I just say that Marianne is simply gorgeous. The camera just loves her! Jason does not look too shabby either...

A few more of Marianne & Jason with their family and guests
And that's a wrap...Marianne & Jason it was truly my pleasure capturing these! Best wishes to you both and cheers to a lifetime of happiness!
